Hello all. A brief #introduction, I am trying out #mastodon after coming back to #diaspora, and finding that it didn't grow much as a project. I'm not a huge social media person, nor am I very political. That said, I have an interest in distributed systems and pirate politics, so I thought I'd check this out.

My interests include #machinelearning for #robotics (my field of research), #books (mainly #scifi), nearly all types of #films (with a preference for European cinema).

Thanks, @vanecx. It's no problem, I am from the UK. While I see most of this instance speaks French (obviously given the affiliation), I hope I'll still be able to have some good conversations here.

Yes, there are more active French speakers on this instance, but I'm sure you'll find interesting English speakers on Mastodon ;)

I'm usually not tooting in English, tho :/
